BY INVITE ONLY, FROM OBAMA TO SOME MUSLIMS.  COME ON-A MY HOUSE, MY HOUSE-A COME ON.

Took us off line yesterday and stayed that way after a nice lot of lightening and thunder.  Never went back on line afterwards but just before I closed everything, I got this. The American Embassy newsletter.  I thought some might find this of interest.  Wish we could wall ourselves off from the rest of the world sometimes but that isn’t any kind of solution either.  Hey, do the taxpayers of the USA pay for this summit thing?  I just don’t feel too warm and fuzzy or friendly toward these folks.  Every time I see one I think 9/11 and other terror attempts that followed. Might not be smart or fair but sorry, it’s hard to shake off ill feelings regarding this group.

A New Beginning: U.S. Summit on Entrepreneurship

By Phillip Kurata
Staff Writer

Washington — Entrepreneurs from more than 50 countries with sizable Muslim populations come to Washington in April on President Obama’s invitation to celebrate the risky, exhilarating life of entrepreneurship and share ideas about sparking new businesses in their communities.

The April 26–27 conference — A New Beginning: The Presidential Summit on Entrepreneurship — builds on President Obama’s speech to the Muslim world in Cairo June 4, 2009. He promised to host a summit on entrepreneurship “to identify how we can deepen ties between business leaders, foundations and social entrepreneurs in the United States and Muslim communities around the world.”

“We now seek a broader engagement” that involves greater exchanges in education, health, science and shared ideals, he said in Cairo.

The conference will highlight the role that entrepreneurs play in communities in creating jobs and improving societies. Results expected from the gathering are new programs, partnerships, relationships and networks, which will encourage starting new businesses and social projects.

In all, about 250 people of various religious backgrounds are expected to participate in the meeting. They will come from Africa; the Middle East; South, Central and Southeast Asia; and Muslim communities in other regions and countries, including the United States.

British Airways strike could go global as Unite enlists support of U.S. union Teamsters

About a week or ten days ago it was announced that the post office had caved in to postal union demands, and so the PO will work less hours but will also get a raise.  It’s feared that junk mail deliveries may increase.  That’s okay. We don’t get much mail anyway. Except it becomes a pain in the butt having to shred addresses and separate the trash. But never mind. This could be worse yet.  The union representing airline workers, UNITE, is digging in it’s heels as the heels who head the union and fund the party in power are about to bring down England’s national airline.  BA is hemorrhaging money and has been plagued for some time with reports about bad service etc.  So this doesn’t help.  In fact, I was considering British Airways because of an unusual flight schedule that might have suited us well.  But with this going on, forget that.  I won’t chance it and I can’t imagine too many folks seeing all this buying tickets in this climate.

It looks now as though the evil bastards want to include the unions in the USA.  Can they enlist a foreign union in another country to screw thing up there?

EVIL BLOODSUCKING UNION BAT

* Meeting with U.S. Teamsters union today
* British tourists risk being stranded in Caribbean
* Union claims ‘fast-tracked’ volunteers risk safety

By Tim Shipman

Unite leaders will today meet with a U.S. union as they dramatically escalate the British Airways strike.

Unite is to hold talks with Teamsters, one of the overseas unions to offer its support for their controversial walkout due to start in days.

It has also enlisted unions in Germany, Spain and Italy to an international campaign of militancy that could cause chaos at airports around the world.

Union sources say action from overseas unions could make it impossible to clean, service and refuel BA planes.

This would undermine attempts by BA to keep aircraft in the skies and lead to more misery for the public, who already face massive disruption to flights over Easter.

Teamsters, which has 1.4million members, said last night: ‘We stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters at Unite who are fighting for a fair contract at British Airways.

‘The Teamsters are an active member of the International Transport Workers Federation. ITF affiliates around the world are mobilising to support British Airways workers in their fight for passenger safety and worker respect.’

The move will raise the stakes for Gordon Brown, who yesterday failed for a fourth day to persuade Unite to abandon the strike.

A BA spokesman said: ‘It is sad to see Unite seeking backing from trade unions overseas to support its unjustified strike against an iconic British brand.

Shadow transport secretary Theresa Villiers said the union was ‘hell-bent’ on causing maximum disruption for travellers.

She said: ‘Unite should not be striking at all and trying to spread the dispute to other countries is even more irresponsible.’

Unite has also warned that BA are ‘rushing through’ volunteer staff to work as cabin crew to help break the strike.

SHE WEIGHS IN AT 602 POUNDS, AND WANTS TO SET A RECORD BY DOUBLING THAT. MOONBAT CROWN

Ok, this deserves a civilian moonbat crown maybe with skulls(?) as this woman is digging her own grave at some point.  This is GROSS.

batbatbatbatbatbatbatbatbatbatbatbatbat

Drew ... is there some way to embed just one of the bats on this photo?  I wanted to do that where I have the text on the pix. Jeesh.
This woman needs counseling pretty quick.
If she ever fell down, how would they get her upright short of a construction crane?  And we know who will end up picking up her medical tab.
What was it Texas Guinan said? Oh yeah. image image [what, like this? Drew]

The super-sized 602 lb. mother who is determined to become the world’s fattest woman

By Daily Mail Reporter

‘My favourite food is sushi, but unlike others I can sit and eat 70 big pieces of sushi in one go,’ she said.

‘I do love cakes and sweet things, doughnuts are my favourite.’

Donna, who wears XXXXXXXL dresses, eats mounds of junk food and tries to move as little as possible.

Ms Simpson already holds the Guinness World Record as the world’s fattest mother, when she gave birth in 2007 weighing 38stone.

She needed a team of 30 medics to deliver her daughter Jacqueline during a high-risk Caesarean birth.

Yet although she can only move 20ft before needing to sit down, she wants to be even bigger.

‘I’d love to be 1,000lb,’ she said.

‘It might be hard though. Running after my daughter keeps my weight down.’

Donna Simpson already weighs 43st, but she is determined to nearly double her size to become the world’s fattest woman.

The 42-year-old from New Jersey, U.S, is set on reaching the 1,000lb mark (71st) in just two years. Remarkably she insists she is healthy, despite now needing a mobility scooter when she goes shopping.

Brawl erupts at sentencing of mom who gave gun to son.

H/T American Renaissance and Fred on Everything

To fully appreciate the article, I’d like to point you to Fred ..http://fredoneverything.net/AmRenDetroit.shtml .. who has a link to AmRen.

There isn’t much I can think to say that’s very original or enlightening. It’s also past midnight and as a rule, I’m not up this late. In fact, I think I’m falling asleep here. So I leave you with this unsettling story.  No doubt mommy dearest here thought the rap could be beat (it still could, couldn’t it) and was very upset as she thought these silly laws only applied to certain other people. You know.  The new future minority.

Brawl erupts at sentencing of mom who gave gun to son

Joe Swickard, Detroit Free Press, March

A murderer and her supporters battled in a Detroit courtroom this morning as she was ordered to serve more than 22 years in prison for giving her teenage son a gun that he used to kill another teen at a recreation center.

image

Tarranisha Davis “basically just went ballistic,” said Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Daniel Ryan who presided over her trial with her son and co-defendant Tremain.

The woman “was punching yelling and screaming” as court security officers and Detroit policemen who were in the courtroom tried to control her, Ryan said.

“Then these other people jumped over the railing and start fighting, too,” Ryan said. “It spilled into the hallway.”

Other security officers rushed to the fifth floor of the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice.

The brawl ended with four people in custody – facing potential contempt and assault charges – and with a Wayne County Sheriff’s lieutenant and a deputy slightly injured.

Ryan said there have been other incidents “but absolutely nothing like this before.”

The uproar came as Ryan ordered Tarranisha Davis to serve 221/2 –to-40 years for second degree murder and an additional two years for using a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Her son Tremaine, 15, was ordered to serve 10-to-25 years for second degree murder plus another two years for use of a firearm. He will be in a juvenile facility until he is 21.

“I gave him that sentence because he has been respectful and remorseful since Day-One,” Ryan said. “His mother, though, has shown no remorse at all.”

The mother and son were charged in the fatal shooting of Dmitri Jackson, 19, at the Considine Little Rock Family Center in October.

Authorities charge that Tarranisha Davis supplied a gun to her son, who had fought with another youth but killed Jackson by shooting in a crowd of teenagers at the center.

Witnesses said the mother drove to the center and unlatched the hood of her van so her son could get a revolver.

‘I’m proud of using waterboarding to break terrorists,’ says Karl Rove

I missed taking my blood pressure meds this morning. Everything has me PO’d. I wanted to start and end today with my usual wkend ladies when I ran across a couple of things that had me seeing my usual color (RED) which isn’t even my favorite color.  I am so damn tired of reading and hearing about how my country has it wrong and how we have become barbaric all because of water boarding and Gitmo etc. Then one columnist wrote about how maybe the Brit’s American cousins aren’t really that after all.  Hey fuckin hey.  I have very close friends among Brits and ain’t one of em a cousin. I’m tired of that phrase too. What god damn cousin?  Who made us that? Did we ever ask to be your cousins? If so, I’m not aware of it. Oh and btw freeken way I HATE one professional liberal phony cousin I haven’t seen since a funeral 30 yrs ago. I wouldn’t know the other three if I fell over em.

Below are two comments posted with regard to the Rove article that started things this morning. Naturally enough I side with Mr. Rove. I have no problem with whatever our people had to do, to get information from terrorist scum.  It pisses me off greatly that our critics simply take for granted that we are in the wrong.
It’s done without question.  It’s automatic we’re all Nazi killers who enjoy our work and all for oil or heaven knows what the hell else.
A jackass named Peter Oborne (?whoever the hell he is?) yesterday wrote about our ‘special relationship’ being broken yadda, yadda. He went on to term the USA as “immoral” while all those empty headed lefty umin rights jerks went on about torture as well.

Why is the way in which we defend our country the business of anyone outside our country anyway?  And how can they be certain that the information gathered won’t save their lives as well?  In his column Oborne says, For years I’ve been a passionate admirer of the U.S. But recent events force me to ask: is it time to ditch our strongest ally? Here’s some more.

For evidence is growing that the U.S. can no longer be regarded as a loyal or trustworthy friend of Britain.

Even more worryingly, it’s no longer clear that Barack Obama’s administration represents the decent and humane values of which Britain has long been so proud.

As a result, standing by the traditional transatlantic alliance is beginning to be damaging to our reputation overseas and to our national interest.

For example, consider the appalling revelations contained in this week’s speech to the House of Lords by the former MI5 spy chief Elizabeth Manningham-Buller.

Dame Elizabeth shockingly disclosed that U.S. officials had deceived Britain over their use of torture following their capture of the Al Qaeda commander Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in 2003.

She said that when she asked why he was talking so freely to his captors, she was cynically told he was boasting because he was proud of what he’d done.

So that gives you some background on the column he wrote. You get the drift.  And the grand dame Liz was shocked about our treatment of one of the masterminds of 9/11. Well fuck her and I’m sorry nobody in her family or Obornes was in either of those towers.  And I am sick and fuckin tired of our country having demands made upon it, that we live UP to whatever standards some other country finds favor with.  Demands we alter how we do things in our country to fall in line with how things are done elsewhere.  Hey Mr. Assborne, when were you elected to office in my country? Fuck off!  Don’t visit. We don’t need you or your opinions.  And Dame Lizzy can go back to her kitchen and do other things.

These comments below were made following the article on Karl Rove. We do have our defenders but alas the feeling I have is that they are not in a majority.

Pity that the American goverment didn’t back up the British Army in its fight against Republican terrorists, instead we were forced by American pressure into accepting these terrorists into government.

I don’t trust these internationalist neo-cons one iota, men like Karl Rove care nothing about the British national interest, all he cares about, is forwarding the dollar empire, the New World Order of global capitalism and anarchic social agendas both of which destroy Nation States.
- Stephen Glover, Manchester, 12/3/2010 14:58

Now there is a man with guts and determination, not like our own lot, whimps. These terrorists have no consciences, they just kill for the sake of it and love it. Even so, they are cunning enough to use the human rights shield of protection, and the stupid human rights bigots are fooled by it too. The victims of murder and disablement have nobody to protect them like these terrorists do. Now will somebody tell us who is sane or insane in all of this. Treat the terrorists in the same way they treat their victims, an eye for an eye simple, Well done that man..

‘I’m proud of using waterboarding to break terrorists,’ declares Bush’s top political adviser
By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

George W Bush’s top political adviser has said he was ‘proud’ of controversial techniques such as waterboarding, which he claimed broke the will of terrorist.

Karl Rove - known as the former president’s ‘brain’ - said he did not believe that the interrogation method amounted to torture.

In an interview with the BBC, he claimed that waterboarding - which simulates drowning - had helped prevent terrorist attacks.

‘I’m proud that we used techniques that broke the will of these terrorists and gave us valuable information that allowed us to foil plots,’ he said.

‘I am proud that we kept the world safer than it was by the use of these techniques. They are appropriate, they are in conformity with our international requirements and with US law.’

Asked if he believed waterboarding was torture, he said: ‘No, it’s not. People need to read the memos that outline what was permissible and not permissible before they make a judgement about these things.’

‘Every one of the people who were waterboarded had a doctor who had to ascertain that there had been no long-lasting physical or mental damage to the individual,’ he said.

The senior Republican aide and Bush’s deputy chief of staff said in the Newsnight interview that subjects had told they would not drown before they underwent the procedure.

He insisted terror plots had been prevented by the tough interrogation, citing flying planes into Heathrow and London, bringing down aircraft over the Pacific and flying an aircraft into the tallest tower in Los Angeles.

A LIFE REMEMBERED AND A GOOD FRIEND STILL MISSED AFTER ALL THIS TIME. BARRY SADLER.

I believe there was a time when a guy could describe his feelings for a good friend with the use of the word “love.” This would be someone he was close to (but not too much mind you).  Happily we could say so without fear of being thought of as,, you know. To use the common expression of my bygone day, queer.  Use the ‘L’ word these days and you’re sure to draw odd looks.

As one who has always been in awe of real talent, as I understand that term, there were many people I admired greatly.  I viewed some artists (mostly musicians)
in a god like way. I was depressed beyond measure for example when Gene Krupa died.  The same with Benny Goodman and I was totally devastated when Jack Benny passed away.

When those I knew personally and had almost daily contact with passed from the scene, the pain was on a par with the passing of a parent.

Such were my feelings for the late Al ‘Jazzbeaux’ Collins, a man of immense talent who guided my initial radio career. My self appointed mentor and radio guru.  The best damn Jazz DJ that ever was, and one of the very best radio personalities ever to sit behind a microphone spinning disks on air in major markets from NY to L.A.

I still mourn his passing and that of Royce Kendall, (one half of the duo, The Kendalls) one of the nicest and kindest gentlemen I’ve known.  As great as they all were, I’ve discovered that what I might mourn as much as their physical passing, is the loss to the world and me personally, of their unique talent.  So maybe it’s talent I worship more then the person, which is not saying I didn’t have great feelings for all.

Well, the person I want to write about here was something of a standout. Besides Al Collins, he was the only other male I had ever bonded with.  He was, Barry Sadler.

image

Better known as Green Beret, Sgt.Barry Sadler. Songwriter (The Ballad of the Green Beret) and singer. And teller of great jokes. He was a good friend and a great talent.

Those who knew him either feared him, thought ill of him, or loved him.  Obviously I fall into that last category.

Barry Sadler was a man of many talents.  Historian, weapons expert, story teller with a gift for mimicracy and author of books that are still selling today as I write this.

Nobody could tell jokes like him, often in dialect.  He was a wonderful character and I know many were frightened of him because he shot and killed Lee Emerson, another writer.  He was cleared as it appeared to be self-defense. Even if it hadn’t been self-defense, it would have made no difference to me. Barry said it was self defense and that was enough for me.  I looked up to him, he was one of the very few heroes I ever had.

We spent time at the bar in the Hall of Fame hotel on Music Row Nashville. I didn’t drink. Barry did, often times too much. But he was so damn funny. Not his books however. There was nothing funny about those. They were violent mostly but well plotted.

One of the books I favored a lot was, “Nashville With a Bullet” (the term bullet in the music industry, indicates a song is hot and getting airtime and one to watch. They are usually hyped but not always. The term was invented by promoter Charlie Lamb. A song placement on the Billboard charts and the expression “in Billboard (or Cashbox) With a Bullet” came into use.) Coming from radio as I had, and at the time I knew Barry I was working in Nashville, everything in that book was quite familiar.  image

His books are still selling but most in demand is the CASCA series. They are selling at premium prices on Amazon among collectors.  He even has a fan club here in Britain, where his books sell as well.
Should you want proof of that, check out Barry Sadler, CASCA books at Amazon USA or UK and see what they’re selling for.  And these are not large books btw. They are thin paperbacks bringing prices equal to new hardback books. Barry would laugh to see the prices people are paying.

When I told a friend who was a decorated ex Marine that I personally knew Barry Sadler, he asked me to introduce him as Barry was a hero to him as well. So I did. When my friend proudly told Barry that he was once in the Marines, Barry looked him straight in the eye and with a serious expression said, “I tried to enlist in the Marines before I got in the Army. But they rejected me.” They rejected YOU? My friend asked in great surprise. “WHY?” And with a straight face Barry said to him, “Because I can read.” Oh god, I was on the floor. I felt bad for my friend, but that was Barry Sadler. The eternal joker.

Sadly, there was another Barry Sadler as well. The warrior who couldn’t sheathe his sword. If there was fighting somewhere, Barry had to go. Oddly, he got involved in helping a children’s hospital and bringing in supplies to them and raising money for them. A lot of it his own. This was in Guatemala, where things finally caught up with him.

image

We’re not sure how. Some say it was a robbery in Guatemala, others point the finger at some shadowy hit for hire and others say it was a grudge carried out by some enemy. I guess we’ll never really know for certain how anyone ever got the drop on Barry Sadler. Someone else even suggested that a drunk Barry might have shot himself accidentally.  Most of us don’t believe he could have been sober for it to happen the way it did. I still miss Barry. It’s not true that anyone is replaceable. That’s the disadvantage of having heroes. They let you down one-way or another, by being mortal and dying when all the time you thought they were gods.

Before he left for that last trip, I recall our conversation and all but begged him not to go. I told him I thought he was pushing his luck, that every time he went over he increased the chance of never coming back. And from a purely selfish view I told him, I couldn’t replace a friend like him. Ever!

His reply was one I’ll always remember. He said, “Hey Jay, how would it look if one day you picked up a paper and read that Sgt. Barry Sadler died because he got run over by a bus? Wouldn’t you feel better if you knew I went out in a firefight?” I said, “Hell No Barry. I don’t want you to die period. You croak and I lose a friend I can’t replace.” He laughed, we parted and I never saw him alive again.

I played Taps on my silver Bach trumpet when he died , and never played it again.  I haven’t been able to re-read any of his books either.

Some very exciting history and a new presentation video. You won’t be sorry if you like history

It’s 1927 people, and Lucky Lindy, America’s Lone Eagle is about to make history.

This is put together with film both still and movie with some sound added. Like you, I generally know the story and after all, I also saw the movie with Jimmy Stewart. Seriously though, I did read the subject.  Even so, this presentation is exceptional by any standard.

Here is the link.  Below you see a small window where there are four parts listed. You can see em here in my screen shot. They are NOT long either.  In fact, you can start by simply clicking part one and go from there. If problems (and should be none) just click CONTACT on the screen.

A Very HUGE H/T to our friend Vilmar.

Enjoy.

World Record by building the largest house of free-standing playing cards.  Take a look

Wow .. Can you imagine how much patience this must take?  Almost as much as as explaining tech thingy stuff to me.  Right Drew?

I wonder if being an architect gives him an advantage understanding laws of stress or whatever. Of course it must. Whatever, it’s still nice to see this stuff.

Don’t breathe on it: Architect spends 44 days creating world’s biggest house of cards

By Mail Foreign Service
Last updated at 3:50 PM on 10th March 2010

An American architect has broken his own Guinness World Record by building the largest house of free-standing playing cards.

Bryan Berg used 218,792 cards to create a replica of the Venetian Macau, which is on display in its namesake luxury hotel and casino.

Berg took 44 days and 4,051 decks of cards to complete his model inside the Venetian, which sits at the heart of Macau’s Cotai Strip, the China-ruled city’s version of Las Vegas’ neon alley.

Since Macau’s casino sector liberalised in 2002, a spate of Las Vegas style gaming giants have transformed the once sleepy former Portuguese colony into the world’s biggest gaming hub.

Weighing 44 stone and measuring 33 feet by just under 10 feet, the model which consisted of cards stacked without glue or tape, nearly collapsed several times.

(To us yanks, that’d be 616 pounds. wow)

blonde American housewife accused in Islamic plot to kill Swedish cartoonist

Well she’s ugly enough prolly only a muzzie will gave her. So became one of ‘them.’

Can’t figure how an American can see the attraction or value in this.  Has to be about sex.

THE SLAG’S PHOTO IS HERE.

What a huge difference between this skank and the lady I posted about this morning, from Iran.

Meet ‘Jihad Jane’: The blonde American housewife accused in Islamic plot to kill Swedish cartoonist

By Paul Thompson

An American housewife who called herself ‘Jihad Jane’ has been named as part of a plot to kill a Swedish cartoonist who made fun of the Prophet Mohammed.

Colleen LaRose agreed to murder the artist, marry a terrorism suspect so he could move to Europe and martyr herself if necessary, according to court papers.

Al Qaeda put a £67,000 bounty on the head of cartoonist Lars Vilks after a newspaper published his cartoon of the Prophet Mohammed with the body of a dog in 2007.

LaRose, 46, of Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, was arrested in Philadelphia on October 15. She has been held without bail since her arrest.

Yesterday she was named as being part of the plot to kill Mr Vilks. She is accused of having online discussions about her plans with at least one of several suspects apprehended over that plot in Ireland yesterday.

Woman captain of a US navy guided-missile destroyer was relieved of her command

No offense intended here should the ladies stop by. Maybe it’s my age and generation but I just don’t think women have a place EVERYWHERE.  Most especially aboard a US Navy ship.  Now the beast who ran this particular ship may look like the butch beast she is. But it wouldn’t matter if she looked like a runway model. In fact that would be even worse.  It isn’t that I think women can’t do the job. Course they can.  It’s a simple matter of there are some places where they are out of place. A Navy ship is one of them.  Women on ships has become a matter of political correctness, like so much else in our lives.
I’m glad I was in and out of the Navy in the 60s.

Good God this beasty is UGLY.  Just common decency and an awareness of appearance or a look in a mirror should have her running to a tent she could wear over her head.  Wait .... a burka?  Yes.  Anything so that innocent ppl wouldn’t see that face and those too close together eyes peering out of that deaths skull. Major GAK!  I think if she actually looked in a mirror, she might kill herself.  Hmmm. Now how can I get her address?  We have an extra mirror here somewhere ......

At the military link there’s a photo of the ships in that race, it is claimed.

H/T military corruption (see link. good site)

Captain Holly Graf ‘maltreated’ staff says US navy report
Tony Allen-Mills

image

EVEN Captain Bligh might have blushed. The first woman captain of a US navy guided-missile destroyer was relieved of her command for using language so foul that it amounted to “cruelty and maltreatment”, it emerged yesterday.

Captain Holly Graf, commander of 400 sailors aboard USS Cowpens, was dubbed “Horrible Holly” by those who felt the lash of her tongue. Officers complained to navy investigators that she humiliated them in front of the crew by showering them with obscenities and calling them “idiots” and “stupid”.

Graf’s behaviour, detailed in a navy report, came to light last week when it emerged she had engaged the Cowpens in a maritime “drag race” with a smaller destroyer, the USS John McCain, near Okinawa, Japan, last year.

The report dismissed allegations that the racing ships had nearly collided but investigators upheld charges that Graf had abused her position for personal gain by forcing sailors to walk her dogs and by ordering a piano-playing junior officer to perform at a Christmas party at her home.

As one of the navy’s most successful sea-going women officers Graf was in line for promotion to rear admiral, but became the target of an internet campaign by former crew members and male former officers contemptuous of what they see as preferential treatment of women at the Pentagon.

Militarycorruption.com, a military website, described Graf as “an incompetent and unstable ‘politically correct’ poster girl for all the super- feminists at the Pentagon and the US Naval Academy”.

Hundreds of posts to internet sites likened Graf to Bligh, the villainous captain ousted by his crew in Mutiny on the Bounty. Graf has not made a public comment, but defended her behaviour to navy investigators. “Many times I raised my tone (and used swear words) to ensure they knew this.

Global Terrorist Gives Terror Warning to America

I know this is dated by a number of days, but I just ran across it and want to bring it to your attention. Meanwhile, it’s 11:30pm here and I have been on the phone for hours trying to get thru to ATT and the wait times and the menus are nothing short of a nightmare. In fact, I’ve been trying to make contact since last week.  I need a break for tea. Or coffee with something strong in it. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
So I’ll leave you with this and then perhaps fall down dead asleep waiting on hold while the coffee I haven’t made yet gets cold.

Global Terrorist Gives Terror Warning to America

Family Security Matters 25 February 2010
By Erick Stakelbeck

The first things you notice as you approach Saad al-Faqih’s home are the CCTV signs. There are several of them posted around his London property as a warning to potential intruders that their every move is being monitored by security cameras. And for good reason.

Shortly after my cameraman, Ian, and I arrived at al-Faqih’s residence on a recent Sunday afternoon, he informed us that we had just missed a visit by British authorities. “They were here to warn me about an assassination plot being hatched against me by the Saudis,” he said. My initial reaction to that news was that I would definitely not be sitting near the window during our interview.

But I can’t say I was surprised by al-Faqih’s admission. I had come to London to interview men the U.S. government considers extremely dangerous; Islamist ideologues with intimate knowledge of al Qaeda’s inner workings. And according to intelligence sources, al-Faqih surely fits that bill.

A former medical surgeon, Al-Faqih now makes a living as one of the world’s most vociferous enemies of the Saudi regime. He wants to see the Saudi royal family removed from power (by peaceful means, he says) and replaced with an even more extreme Islamic government than the Saudi Wahhabis currently operate.

The Saudis, naturally, do not like this, and have been pressuring Great Britain for years to deport al-Faqih back to Saudi Arabia to stand trial. But the Brits, as I explained in my recent CBN News report and in an appearance with Sean Hannity on Fox News, refuse to extradite al-Faqih and other wanted Islamic terrorists back to their home countries over human rights concerns.

Basically, they fear the Saudis will torture al-Faqih and the others, most of whom gained asylum in the UK during the 1980s and ‘90s and now walk the streets of London and other cities as free men.

Al-Faqih has built up a dubious reputation during his time in Britain. He was designated by the United States and UN as a global terrorist in 2004for his links to al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden. (...)

the us supreme court MUST order a retrial … says the Times of London. I say, FUCK YOU Times!

It’s late, I’m tired and I had shut down about two hours ago. I need to be off this damn thing, BUT ....

I made the mistake if reading a Times editorial while having a snack before going upstairs.  Nothin’ like something to piss one off to wake one up.

RCOB ....  Commit a crime in my country and pay the price.  Of course in this case the prisoner is not only Brit says the Times, she’s also a minority member.
Ah, must be why she got the death penalty.

Look, till tonight I knew nothing of this case.  It’s too much and too late for me tonight to go and research it. I’ll leave to others and do it as well tomorrow or Monday.

So here’s the editorial. All of it.

Undue process

The US Supreme Court must order a retrial for the Briton who stands on death row

Friends must sometimes agree to disagree. Britain forbids capital punishment; the United States supports it. But above all, good friends must honour their word. An Anglo-American agreement requires Britain to notify the US if it takes legal action against an American citizen, and for the US to do the same if a Briton is to stand trial in America.

So the case of Linda Carty — who was born in St Kitts, which qualifies her as a British citizen — is especially galling. Carty now waits on death row in Texas. In a last attempt to avoid her becoming the first black British woman to be executed in more than a century, the British Government has now presented an amicus brief to the US Supreme Court urging it to reconsider the case.

Carty’s story raises disturbing questions on several levels. First, the case represents a gross abuse of British trust. The British Government — quite rightly — seeks to defend any Briton who stands accused of a capital crime abroad. Other countries may kill their own citizens if they must; where possible we try to prevent them from killing ours. But the Texan authorities made no attempt to discover Carty’s nationality when they arrested her, and the same lack of curiosity and responsibility afflicted the lawyer they appointed to represent her. Hence Britain was effectively precluded from involvement in the case until the death penalty had already been issued.

And speaking of trust, wanna tell us about that muslim slug t binmanmoohamed you rescued from Gitmo and who is now suing YOU guys?  And the documents made public in spite of our intel agencies requesting otherwise. But oh no. Our guys were only trying to cover up torture. And binman isn’t even a Brit. Never ever was.

It is impossible to be certain of Carty’s innocence. But the original trial was clearly a farce. Carty faced the death penalty because her three co-defendents testified against her to avoid execution themselves. Meanwhile, Carty’s lawyer conducted a woefully inadequate defence. He talked to his client for just 15 minutes, blaming her for refusing to talk to him until he “bribed her with a bar of chocolate” — an extrememely unlikely version of events given that Carty is allergic to chocolate. It is also alleged that the lawyer neglected to visit St Kitts even though he had been granted funds by the court to do so. Had he bothered, he would have discovered that the island’s prime minister was willing to testify on Carty’s behalf.

Outrage at the nature of the legal defence provided for Carty extends far beyond critics of the death penalty. Baker Botts, a law firm that has often represented the Bush family, has taken up the case pro bono. Michael Goldberg, the defence attorney now representing Carty, is a supporter of the death penalty. He was simply appalled by the abuse of justice.

America’s execution policy is becoming a source of ridicule. Last autumn Romell Brown lay strapped to the gurney for an hour, sobbing while his executioners failed to find a suitable vein to adminster a lethal injection. In time, it is to be hoped that the United States reconsiders its outdated attitude towards justice and mercy.

More urgently, America should consider its responsibilities to its allies. When the US needs British support, it makes a great deal of the special relationship. British soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq die every month serving the Anglo-American alliance. But friendship cuts both ways. The Supreme Court must demand a retrial. And America should remember that it owes Britain the obligations of trust as well as Carty the right of justice.

America has a responsibility to its citizens BEFORE any responsibility to you or the UK where a crime is done in our country. You don’t like it? Screw you. Go start another war with the Krauts.

America’s execution policy is becoming a source of ridicule? To whom?  To anyone that counts?  And even if it does. F---Off. Ridicule over the DP is not exactly the number one worry of most of us I would guess and I think I guess correctly.
Or, maybe we should follow you ass wipes at the Time and the libtard left. Sure.  We can see how well the UK has done crime wise since you banished the DP
and disarmed your citizens. And turned your country over to the EU or damn near close enough.

OK, now I’m shutting this thing off.
Good night and Cheers to everyone.  Except the Times.  Jerks!

MONDAY MORNING

I just realized I skipped this bit when I did this post last week.

Romell Brown lay strapped to the gurney for an hour, sobbing

And we’re suppose to care about that?  Hey Times idiots, anyone wonder if his victims were sobbing too?
F$~#in Jerks!

US sports presenter suspended for calling colleague’s clothes ‘horrifying’

She’s 47 going on 16 looks like.

Oh good grief.  Political correctness alive and well in the USA.  Make a dumb comment or even one that’s right on the mark but still maybe dumb and ur toast.
Jeesh.  There’s a photo of the lady he was referring to at the link.  I think she she looks ridiculous as well. Pretty bad cloths sense. IMHO. So why should he be sidelined for venturing an opinion?  She didn’t complain and I don’t think he should have said sorry coz he was damn sure right.
But as always you can make up your own minds, I’m just sayin is all.  It certainly looks like a heads up the butt award for a PC,USA.

A popular US sports presenter has been suspended after calling a woman colleague’s clothes “horrifying” and saying she “dressed too young”.

Tony Kornheiser, 61, said television anchor Hannah Storm, 47, was wearing a shirt that was too tight and she looked “like she has sausage casing wrapping around her upper body”.
He said: “She’s got on red go-go boots and a Catholic school plaid skirt – way too short for somebody in her 40s or maybe early 50s.”

Both presenters front shows for the ESPN sports network. Mr Kornheiser has been suspended for two weeks from his show Pardon the Interruption. Miss Storm co-hosts the SportsCenter show.
Mr Kornheiser said he had personally apologised to Miss Storm who is said to have laughed off his comments.

He said: “If you put a live microphone in front of somebody, eventually that person will say something wrong. As result of this, I have been sent to the sidelines for a while.”
He added: “I’m a troll, look at me. I have no right to insult what anybody looks like or what anybody wears.”

Discussing her wardrobe in 2008 Miss Storm said she liked “fitted and feminine” clothes.
She said: “I think you can look age appropriate but still don’t have to sacrifice style.”
John Skipper, ESPN’s vice president for content, said: “Hurtful and personal comments such as these are not acceptable and have significant consequences.”

(right you are John. And welcome to the American extension of the PC, UK)

OKAY .. SO IS THIS WHY CALLS TO THE AMERICAN EMBASSY COST $2 A MINUTE?

I’m outta here for the night.

Take a look at the ones that were rejected.  And yeah.  Calls made from here to our embassy go thru a line that is similar to a 900 number at home. That is, not only is it not a free call, you will pay extra which the embassy gets to keep.

Bldg. starts in 2013 and is expected to finish in 2017.

Revealed: The new $1billion high-security U.S. London embassy… complete with moat

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

The new U.S. Embassy in London will be a $1billion modernist glass cube protected from attack by an earth bank, a semi-circular lake and bomb-resistant glazing, it was revealed yesterday.

The embassy must move from its current central London location because the 1950s building is too small, outdated and hard to defend from security threats, U.S. Ambassador to Britain Louis Susman said.

Its new neighbours in Wandsworth, south London, will include the disused Battersea Power Station and Britain’s biggest fruit and vegetable market.

Mr Susman said: ‘We will replace our current embassy, which has become overcrowded, does not meet modern office needs and required security standards - and, after 50 years, is showing signs of wear and tear.

‘This effort has special significance in that we are creating a new home and focal point for one of our most cherished and bilateral relationships.’

The new 12-storey building, which will be able to house 1,000 staff, covers 45,000 square metres.

Acclaimed American architect firm Kieran Timberlake was selected to design the carbon-neutral structure.

James Timberlake, of Kieran Timberlake, said: ‘It meets and exceeds all the security requirements. We are using elements of landscaping that have been around for centuries and centuries.image

ALL THE REST IS HERE Including protesting muzzie slime.  I wonder if they have to dis-infect the streets where those vermin sit.
Lice ridden scum.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. 1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
